Recently, Dave Stevens had the privilege of being part of the All Wheels Up, Inc. Conference in Washington, DC, where leaders of the airline industry, designers, engineers, and those who use mobile assisted devices for travel came together to discuss the need for dedicated space on airplanes for wheelchairs.
Thanks to Michele Campanelli-Erwin we are getting closer to our goal! The two-day event featured panels and moderators discussing various topics related to the need for more accessible options when it comes to flying. I had the honor of moderating a raw and emotional discussion with two wonderful people, Mindy Henderson and Matt Okra, who shared their journey and what needs to be done to improve travel for everyone. Let's ask ourselves, how would we want our family members to experience travel if they had a disability? It's time we make travel accessible for everyone.
